5: Weed Fighter

The Beef, the Betus and the Dave_O celebrate their first trio podcast with another trio podcast, i.e. another amazing hour-long chill session. What started as a well-outlined agenda quickly goes out the window once slowbeef abandons all sense of professionalism by letting crickets join him during the recording. The gang talks about a whole host of stupid crap like card counting, Batman (WARNING: MILD DARK KNIGHT RISES SPOILERS BUT NOTHING TOO SERIOUS SO DON'T YELL AT US ABOUT IT), Superman, weed (duh), the weather again, Street Fighter, Spacechem, our buddies and hopefully future friends of the show The Freelance Astronauts, plus we briefly discuss a super popular YouTube person who pretends to be scared at video games. It's a jam-packed hour so strap in and prepare to hang out.

  1. If you wanted a suggestion for a great role-playing game that I think would work for your show, Call of Cthulhu is perfect since it always devolves in to hilarious madness.
I have been playing table-tops for 20 years, and I have never played a more fun table-top, everyone I have played with loves it and found it relatively easy to learn.

    1. Are you talking about Arkham Horror? I assume so, and I have to say I completely agree with you. My husband has most of the expansions for it and it is hands down our favorite table-top type of game.

    2. Arkham Horror is a board game based on the Cthulu Mythos, he is probably reffering to the pen and paper RPG literally called Call of Cthulu. It plays very similar to DnD but far less combat, and with an insanity mechanic that can completely screw you over. Its super fun, but always tends to end in ridiculous tpk's.

  2. I like superman, but that's because you can have great morale debates with the character, you can say that he's overpowered but at least he's consistent with what he can or can't do when you compare him to somebody like batman who pulls out some device from his ass that always saves the day. I do disagree with Tarantino, since he started being superman when he was in his twenties, all the other years he's being Clark Kent, If you look at it that way, superman is just an act put on by somebody who doesn't like their current life.

    1. But there have been many versions of Superman. The version Tarantino referred to through Bill was "Golden Age" or "Silver Age" Superman (appropriate given Bill's age) who very much seemed to treat Clark Kent as the disguise and Superman as his real identity, and did seem to treat the humans around him condescendingly.

  3. Yeah you guys should definitely do something extra scathing for Pewdiepie. His fans treat him like a fucking god moreso than any person you guys have RPed though, so look forward to that.

  4. I was wondering when a new episode would come out just yesterday. I'll give this a listen as soon as I can!

  5. An easy thing you could do for Pewdiepie is to just post those videos up on blip where they don't have those community guidelines.

  8. You don't understand, New England is four thousand square miles in area. That living in Boston is not conducive to having a car, but the commuter rail is still awful.

  9. Spacechem is the REAL Breaking Bad of video games. Think about it.

  10. The Eagles of Let's Play aren't as great as the Eagles Of Death Metal.

  12. if they want to talk about Vanquish, they should talk about Shinji Mikami. He is the legendary Capcom dev who was publicly humiliated just to make a ps2 port of RE4. He left the company, took a ton of talent with him, and went on to make Vanquish and is now making a new game with Bethesda. An amazing story of corporate greed imo.
